PORTUGAL VISA

Portugal, located on the southwestern coast of Europe, offers various visas for individuals planning to visit, work, study, or reside in the country. Portugal operates under the Schengen Agreement, which allows for visa-free travel among European countries in the Schengen Area. Non-EU/EEA nationals generally require a visa to enter Portugal, except for citizens of visa-exempt countries. Portugal granted golden visas to 1,281 investors between January and December of 2022. 1,588 of their family members acquired residence permits along with the investors. In all, 2,869 cards for resident permits were granted by Portugal in 2022. Compared to the previous year, this is up 30%.

Common Types of Portugal Visas:

Family Reunification Visa: This visa is for individuals who have family members residing in Portugal and wish to join them. It is applicable to spouses, children, parents, or dependent family members of Portuguese citizens or legal residents.
Golden Visa: The Golden Visa program allows non-EU/EEA individuals to obtain residency in Portugal by making a significant investment in the country. It offers a pathway to Portuguese citizenship and European Union (EU) residency rights.
